About Department

The Department of Computer Engineering was established in 2009 with the intent to provide quality education to the young aspirants. The department is pioneer in providing education in Computer Engineering among self financed institutes in Maharashtra. A team of teaching and technical staff members under the leadership of Prof. Mrs. Shaikh P. K. unanimously harnesses its potential in all aspects to take the department to greater heights. The department had intake of 60.

Head Of Department’s Message

Welcome to the Department of Computer Engineering at Rajiv Gandhi Polytechnic, Udgir.

As the Head of Department, I am proud to lead a team of dedicated faculty members who are passionate about shaping the next generation of computer engineering professionals. Our department is committed to providing high-quality education .The department has good infrastructure with well- established laboratories. The department has experienced and dedicated faculties who give personal attention to each individual student. The department emphasizes on effective teaching learning process including project-based learning using modern tools and technologies implementing updated Curriculum. Computer department faculties are working hard to improve upon the quality of education and the student’s overall performance in the era of rapidly changing technology. The department encourages students to participate in various State and National level competitions, project exhibitions, hackathons, sports events, and extra-curricular activities. Students have won awards in various competitions including significant achievements in Smart India Hackathon.

Program Outcomes(POs):

PO1: Basic and Discipline Specific knowledge: Apply knowledge of engineering mathematics, sciences, ,engineering fundamentals and discipline specific knowledge to solve core computer engineering related problems.
PO2: Problem analysis: Identify and analyse well-defined computer related engineering problems using codified standard methods.
PO3:Design/ development of solutions: Design and develop computer solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.
PO4: Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing: Apply relevant software tools to solve intermediate computer engineering problems and conduct standard tests to computer related processes.
PO5: Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment: Apply computer solutions in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.
PO6: Project Management: Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.
PO7: Life-long Learning: Engage in independent and life-long learning activities in the context of technological changes in the computer engineering field and allied industry.

PSO1: Ability to repair, maintain, and troubleshoot computer systems by applying knowledge of computer hardware and peripheral
